Boogie photo analysisIn this photograph you can see a man in Tokyo looking at a tower of smoke from a street. This image is in black and white, I think that this helps to show the contrast between the smoke and the rest of the scenery. Also it makes the image have more of an impact because the smoke looks more menacing in black than it's natural colour. In this image it is strange because you would expect chaos if there is a car crash or fire but in the photograph it seems to be quite calm, I think it is because the man is looking on the the smoke from a distance. The photograph is looking upwards a little to see the hugeness of the smoke, I think the photographer was standing behind the man crouching slightly to get everything in the picture. The photographer has tried to get the reaction of the people in this one man, the state of the city in its very peaceful state and has got the velocity of the smoke in it. If I was to choose the title of the photograph I think I'd call it 'bystanders reaction' because people are just watching and not doing anything about it and are just observing. If I could ask the photographer two questions I would ask 1:when was the photo taken? and 2:what did you want people to get from this photograph?

Me, Kai and George's photos
I like most of these photos because its not only got good main bits but the backgrounds also work well. It could of worked a bit better if i spent more time on getting the focus right.

What I learnt about street photography from the film 'Everybody street'
How do street photographers behave?
.They behave excitedly and very physical. Also they go round thinking in a very curious way.
What kind of equipment do they use?
.Cameras such as 'pentax' and 'leica'
What kind of subjects interest them?
.They like edgy, cultural things such as crime or violence.
Why do they like photographing on the street?
.Because they like capturing moments in everyday life and how people act without posing on the street.
What are the risks involved in street photography?
.They could be hurt or dragged into the world they are trying to capture.
What makes a successful street photographer?
.You have to be quick thinking and imaginative, also you need to be able to see good opportunities for a good image.

Photographers like using diagonal lines because it it shows that there is not as many straight lines in real life as you might think. Also I think that it makes pictures more dramatic and edgy.

Rules of third
|
Photographers sometimes like to use rules of third to give their picture some structure and organization.
